These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with Stavo Adventures for safaris, gorilla treks, Kilimanjaro climbs, and beach escapes across Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
A booking is confirmed once we receive your signed booking form and the required deposit. Full payment is due 60 days before departure unless stated otherwise on your invoice. Bookings made within 60 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking. We accept payment by bank transfer and major credit cards; card payments may incur a processing fee.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made 60 days or more before departure forfeit the deposit only. Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before departure are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure are non-refundable. Where we are able to recover costs from our local partners or suppliers, we will pass on any recoverable amount.
Comprehensive travel insurance, including cover for trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and repatriation, is mandatory for all travelers on our trips. Proof of insurance may be requested before departure. We are not liable for any cost, loss, or inconvenience arising from a traveler’s failure to secure adequate insurance.
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport (with at least six months’ validity beyond the return date), any required visas, and up-to-date vaccinations, including yellow fever certification where required by the countries on the itinerary. We are happy to advise, but final responsibility for travel documentation rests with the traveler.
Some itineraries, including gorilla trekking and Kilimanjaro climbs, involve strenuous physical activity at altitude. Travelers should consult a doctor before booking if they have any pre-existing medical condition. Our guides’ instructions must be followed at all times for the safety of the group.
We act as an agent for the hotels, camps, transport providers, and other suppliers used to deliver your itinerary, and we select those partners with care. We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity that may be caused by a third-party supplier, or by events outside our reasonable control.
We are not liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, our obligations where that failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, civil unrest, government action, pandemic, or the closure of borders, parks, or airspace.
Wildlife sightings, weather, park regulations, and local conditions can require changes to a planned itinerary. We reserve the right to alter routes, accommodation, or activities where necessary, and will always aim to provide an equivalent or better experience where a change is required.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Stavo Adventures is registered. Any dispute arising from a booking will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between the parties.
Questions about these terms can be sent to our team via the contact page, or through WhatsApp for a faster response.
